(April 2012 - Virginia Beach, VA) Edvance360, a leading provider of eLearning services and softwaresolutions, announced that Kenrick-Glennon Seminary, recently joined the growing Edvance360 LMS-SN community of users.
The Archdiocese of Saint Louis founded Kenrick-Glennon Seminary (KGS) in 1818. KGS serves many dioceses throughout the nation and several religious orders. Over 2,700 of their alumni have been ordained to the priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. At the present time they serve one-hundred and twenty students who are enrolled in either the Kenrick Pre-Theology or Theology programs of seminary formation, or the Cardinal Glennon College program for collegiate seminary.
“The consortium we were a part of, Fishersnet, announced it was closing down and all members would have to make other arrangements,” says Dr. Sebastian Mahfood, Coordinator of Distance Learning at KGS. “We began evaluating dozens of options in about six categories of CMS/LMS providers. Of the six categories, Edvance360 was the clear leader in the category that fit us best: relational-learning-focused LMS. Edvance360 had everything we wanted: scalability, SIS Integration, easy to use tools, ability to transfer our old Blackboard courses, and affordability. We had heard they had stellar customer service and training, and we have experienced this ourselves now that we have switched. In the end, we chose Edvance360 because it felt like coming 'home'.”

About Kenrick-Glennon Seminary
Founded in 1818, KGS serves many dioceses throughout the nation and several religious orders.
Kenrick School of Theology operates three overlapping credential programs. All students, candidates for the priesthood, enroll in a four-year Ordination Program, which is based on the norms of the document, The Program of Priestly Formation (5th edition, 2006), of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Ordination Program at Kenrick also requires the completion of a summative evaluation exercise, either a comprehensive examination or a thesis and defense.
